I'M NOT A COMEDIAN...I'M LENNY BRUCE looks at the life and battles of the most groundbreaking and impactful comedian of all time, Lenny Bruce, including many of Bruce's original comedic routines and insights from his own writing, and drawing from his many court battles championing the freedom of speech. It is all masterfully woven together by the show's creator and star, Ronnie Marmo, and expertly directed by Tony Award-winning stage actor, film and television star, Joe Mantegna.

The show takes audiences back to the 1950's and 60's, immersing them in a time gone by and the world of Lenny Bruce, the man responsible for influencing such comedians as George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Lewis Black, Richard Lewis, Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman and so many more.

The production ran for 9 months with 100 performances Off-Broadway and for 115 performances in Los Angeles, receiving enormous critical acclaim. It has been an LA Times's Critic's Choice numerous times and winner of the One Man Solo-Performance of the Year from Digital Journal (2018).

It is currently playing at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago where it has been extended through March 8. Visit the official website for tickets and more information.
