Alan Menken Becomes 16th Person to Achieve EGOT Status

Composer Alan Menken became the 16th person ever to earn EGOT status by adding an Emmy Award to his Tony Award, 8 Oscars, and 11 Grammy Awards. He earned the Emmy for his song "Waiting in the Wings," composed with lyricist Glenn Slater for the Disney Channel's Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. Congratulations, Alan!
