A native of Philadelphia, soprano Leah Hawkins returns for her second year to the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at The Metropolitan Opera where she will be seen as Strawberry Woman in Porgy & Bess and Masha in The Queen of Spades. Additional 2019-2020 debuts include the Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and Greek National Opera for the world premiere of 7 Deaths of Maria Callas staring Marina Abramović and the Colorado Symphony for Verdi’s Requiem.
