“There is an extended musical sequence in the second act that is some of the most jaw-droppingly 'real' feature film animation I have ever seen.”
    Forbes

Disney in Concert: Coco is a family-friendly, live-to-picture concert event featuring Michael Giacchino’s beautiful musical score and the 2017 two-time Academy Award winning film for Best Original Song as well as Best Animated Feature Film.

Produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, audience members will follow the story of a 12 year old boy named Miguel who travels to the Land of the Dead, where he seeks the help of his deceased musician great-great-grandfather to return him to his family.

“Try as you might to lose yourself in 'Coco,' or pause to ponder its metaphysics, too often you find yourself hindered by the movie's breathless velocity.”
    Los Angeles Times
“Befitting its subject, this is the most musical feature yet produced by Pixar, with songs co-written by Robert Lopez, of The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q, and Frozen fame.”
    The Atlantic
“'Coco,' Pixar’s most musical feature to date, offers a twist on the reprise. Rather than pump you up for the big adventure, it’ll bring on all the tears — in the best way possible.”
    The New York Times
“While the connection between the song and its characters is very specific to the story, there’s an element of universality that links it to my own experiences as a viewer — the passage of time, loss, family.”
